A GREETING FROM RICHARD FROM H.U.P.
Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. Hello to the County Line Medical Staff who I found out puts my latest updates up for all to read. Thank you for putting me on the road to recovery. Thank you to Dr. Andreadis from H.U.P. for keeping me healthy and getting me better everyday! Now, onto business. Chemotherapy treatments are starting tomorrow, Thursday, April 12. So I will be going from feeling pretty good and energetic to, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. But, like I say, it is a means to an end. The infection in the omaya port in my head has been clear now for three days and neither I nor the doctors think it will be returning. As far as the chest port is concerned, it has been working now for two days without problem so I am keeping my fingers crossed because I am learning to really hate getting stuck with needles for blood tests. Thank you to all in my family for bringing me homecooked meals, you know who you are. Yum. Yum. Gotta love family food over this hospital food. Well, I will hopefully be updating this from my home next time if I am able to keep my head up and off of the keyboard for more than ten minutes. My love to all! Richard David

Hi Rich. So glad you are doing better and really looking forward to spending the day with you tomorrow. Have a good night and get lots of sleep. God Bless You! Love, Aunt Donna
Hello Richard,
I should have checked the blog before I left you a phone message.
I was wondering if your 3rd round started today - I got my answer. I will be praying, as usual, that all goes well.
Hey, I found a cute saying that I thought might make you laugh:
On a Plumber's truck:
"Don't sleep with a drip. Call your plumber."
Good luck with your treatment tomorrow!
Lots of love and hugs,
Aunt Paula
Hi Richard:
I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. I am praying for you all the time. I am very thankful for this website that we can hear about your progress. I really appreciate it. You and Daphne are doing a great job. You have such a great attitude through all of this and I just wanted to let you know how much you are an inspiration to all of us. I hope to see you soon when you are up to it. Keep the progress reports coming!!

Richard dearest...
hopefully you remember who I am, considering it's been a long time since we've said anything to each other. The only thing I can say to help you remember is "anything goes..." ;-)
Your brother gave me this site when I found him on facebook. My how he has grown! I was also saddened and shocked to hear the news of the cancer hitting you. You've always been one to be so cheery, despite the hard circumstances, so I suspect nothing has changed, and that this attitude will help get you and your family through the toughest of times.
I have entered medical school and can see your case in a whole different light. I've chosen to go down the naturopathic route, because I see great potential in the field. With that said, have you and/or your family looked into any of the facilities that offer a naturopathic perspective on treating cancer? I'm not completely conversant with all the modalities yet, but I'm assuming there are tons of things that naturopathic medicine can do. If you're open to it, then I would more than happy to help you find outlets.
I hope that your family is doing well. Are you married??? I've been out of the loop for a long while, so if you or anyone gets a chance, please keep in touch, as I still have a large fondness for you and what friendship we had years back.
Hang in there, be strong, fight and keep that beautiful smile on your face. It's you!
Keeping you in my prayers always,
Vanessa Dziuba
