A Few Extra Days

Richard finally started really feeling better about the middle of this past week. His red blood cell count is a little low, but not quite low enough to make a transfusion necessary. (They gave him the choice.) As long as his counts look decent after tomorrow's bloodwork, we will head back to HUP on Wednesday evening. Last round...!!!!
I've been working on things to prepare for the upcoming school year, and Richard has been doing odds and ends around our house. I am posting some pictures of our house for those of you who may not have seen it yet. The things we're working on now are light switch covers (Rich is replacing some of the recepticals), light fixtures for the kitchen, and getting the hot tub up and running. Most of the pictures turned out okay, but I took some of them at night, so lighting was challenging. As far as our furniture and other things in the house, some of it was gifts and some of it we purchased with money we saved before Richard was sick. I only included pictures of rooms that are finished or have something done to them. Most of the half basement has nothing in it, so I didn't put any pictures of the spare room, family room, or powder room up. Things are coming together slowly, but we like our little cozy home!
Thanks for your continued prayers. One more round, and then it should be all up hill from there!

How fun to see your sweet home!! It looks sooo nice! Thanks for taking the time and energy to post them for all of "us!" I enjoyed looking at each one. I'm very glad to hear that dear Rich had a good few days lately!! The depression must be dark when not feeling well for such an extended period. We continue to uplift you both in our prayers. Daphne - when do you start school? Your teacher in-service days?

Daphne & Richard,
Enjoyed the pictures of your cozy little cottage. Little by little you will be able to finish the other rooms and furnish them. Uncle Wayne and I experienced the same scenario when we were first married. I look back now and wonder how we ever managed. But we did, and you will too! The most important thing is that you have one another.
Glad to hear you are feeling a little better Richard. My prayers will be with you as you embark on your last chemo treatment. Hoorah!!!!
Love you both,
Aunt Helen

Thanks for the update! I have been
thinking and praying alot this past week; hoping you were feeling better and I am glad you are!
The house looks wonderful - so clean and tidy, too! It is a wonderful, exciting feeling to be in your own place; you should be proud of your accomplishments. I mean that not only with the house, but more importantly with your personal accomplishments ( I think you understand what I mean!) OK- one more round to go - we are with you all the way - this is it - you will be back better than ever! Hang in there and we will see you
very soon!
Lots of love and hugs,
Aunt Paula
