Platelet Transfusion

The platelet transfusion was successful this morning. Richard was at the hospital for about 3 hours. He is feeling okay now - mostly just a little tired.

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."
The quote you have on your blog is soooooooooo true, do you know whose quote it is? Remember Nate Saint? I know you are too young to remember him; however he did give his life for the cause of spreading the gospel to the Auca Indians many years ago… Thought you had me on that one didn’t you? We continue to pray for you and those around you. This is something I read Yesterday and thought of you and this terable trial you are going through.
Love ya,

When trials assail and my moods descend,
When pain and sorrow seem never to end,
I yield to You, Lord, so that I may see
The peace and the joy You’ve promised me. —Fitzhugh

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear you had to have a transfusion, but hey, anything that will help you get better more quickly is good thing!
Glad to hear you were able to do some painting around your house. As grandmom would say, keep busy, and you won't have time to be sick or to think too much about it.
I am praying for you all the time.
I heard on KYW radio today that a French nun is the recipient of a
miracle (#2) attributed to JPII. She was miraculously cured of her Parkinson's disease; after her devotion to JPII.
So, according to my records, he still needs one more miracle for sainthood - I have someone in mind for that miracle. Well, I better go and pray to JP!
Lots of love and hugs,
Aunt Paula

Dear Richard,
I wanted to let you know that my former co-worker, Joan (the one in love with your Dad) has made a donation in your name to the Lymphoma Foundation. Another former co-worker of ours is doing a big walk for the cure and Joan gave in your honor. Vira's note to Joan is below in quotes. Just thought you'd like to know.

"I will add Richie's name
to our team's mission board, my ribbon, and my website. Thank you for sharing his story and for your donation."
