Hello to all again!
Just a quick update tonight. Traveled to H.U.P. in Philadelphia this morning to recieve a cancer-related physical and also have the staples removed from my head. Physical went fine, "turn your head and cough." :) All of my parts are still in working order so far. I passed. Staple removal was interesting. No pain, but cute nurse practitioner used a tool that mimicked a pair of electricians dykes to slip staples out of my head. Total of 19 staples had to come out. After every 3 staples, the nurse would rub my head. WOO HOO!!!!! Gotta love free head rubs! (sorry Daphne) I love you! :) No more news in regards to cancer, but it looks like I will be returning to H.U.P. next Thurs. or Fri. to begin next round of chemo. Fun fun fun. I will let all know of my location when I find out. Well, that is all for tonight. I am going to get some much needed shut eye. Bye!

Everyone's trying to be a comedian on this blog site! Well... I can hang with the best of them! Next story by a woman:
"I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who worked at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, "I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men's balls."
Hey Rich! Not a dinner goes by that we, as a family, don't pray for you. In addition to that, Chris and I always make sure to lift a "toast" to you... only the finest wine! WE LOVE YOU!
Hey Rich,
Hope treatment is going well for you. I have the entire school praying for you every morning. Plus I am good friends with some of the IHM sisters here at school and they are dedicating their chaple time to pray for you. Lots of prayers are definitely with you, including mine. If you need anything, mom, dad, and I can always make time to run erands for you or just come and sit with you. If you play your cards right, maybe mom will bring the cheerleaders to visit ;)
Much Love,
Eric
Hey Rich!
You know none of this would be happening if you never bought that Ladies White "C" Pitch Pipe! I knew it would bring you trouble, but I had no idea...
Seriously though...we keep you in our prayers daily and I can't wait till you are well enough for a visit. You are like a brother to me, Rich, so if there is ANYTHING I can do for you or Daphne, PLEASE let me know.
Love, Drew & Family
Hey Richard,
Glad to hear your staples came out well. I thought they may hurt to have them taken out so I was glad to hear otherwise.
Are you ready for some more oatmeal bombs?? Let me know or Daphne.
Are those white cells cooperating and growing yet? Keep resting and your being thought of and prayed for a lot!!
Love Terrie & Ed & Roy :-)
So, are you keeping busy at home, or have you been getting bord? I'm glad you like this blog spot, I know it was very helpful when my father was in the hospital....and yes, it is a lot of fun to read the comments and to know people are constantly thinking of you and supporting you. Praying that your white blood cell count will be back to normal quickly!!
Love,
Jennifer

Hi Richard. Sorry to hear that you have been so wiped out. We have been wanting to call and check in on you but are always afraid you will be sleeping and don't want to wake you up. Hopefully you know how much we are thinking about you. Sounds like your next round of treatments is comming up. Just think, with every treatment, more and more of the cancer gets out of your system so hang in there. We are hear for you if you need anything. We will keep checking your blog to stay updated. We love you! Cousin, Lisa, Steve and Emily.
